I'm Pumped for two massive upcoming gigs in vegas, one at the legendary MARQUEE, and the other at Blitz in the HARD ROCK. Riding the wave of our latest MASHUP MIX, hosted by the one and ony FATMAN SCOOP, My DJ crew IPARTYDJS have been building momentum steadily and the meyhem looks to continue into this summer stay tuned for photos!
My Homie Eric Soloman was recently up from LA to film a music video. Where he asked me to 'dj a party in the woods' for him I didn't really know what to expect. Turned out we had a damn good time, other than colored powder getting all over my dj gear... well see for yourself:
Whats up ya'll I'm pleased to announce that I am now teaching dj lessons! I was recently added to the instructor roster at the SCHOOL OF REMIX, an organization full of wicked peeps that offers serato lessons, turntable lessons, cdj lessons, controller lessons, ableton lessons, logic lessons and even runs seminars on how to get gigs. At the school theres a dope sound studio and a full separate dj classroom for group lessons, straight up this place is le shiette and i'm stoked to be on board. Interested? hit us up for more info!
Spent last week in Vegas with the IPARTYDS CREW: KNOWLEDJ, and FIN-S, putting the final touches on our best DJ mix todate: Mashes for the Masses 2012. To catch a little R'r'R we decided to pop over to CLUB XS for their 3 year anniversary party, and check out some DJ kid you might of heard of called SKRILLEX.To be honest I didn't really know what to expect, seeing a dubstep DJ at the poshest club in Vegas (aka the planet maybe?), but to his credit Skrillex played like a true DJ, worked the crowd, mixed up his genres and even dropped BE FAITHFUL by FATMAN SCOOP, the infamous voice of the club, who also happens to be hosting Mashes for the Masses 2012. Oh and thx to the good folks at IPARTYINVEGAS.COM, the night cost me a whopping 46 dollars including a couple coctails and all you can eat steak after the club. (lol, it's a Vegas thing)
Everytime we perform this track it brings the house down. Just had a great shpw in Kelowna, back in Vancity tmr, major new Colab-mix in the works with FATMAN SCOOP and DJ KNOWLEDGE. Gret start to 2012 so far, that shit cray.
This party was bonkers last year, and this year they seem to have racked up the production value even more! ticket information at BRASSFAN WEBSITE
This dude is ill...
I've been on to this cat for a few years, always solid on the remix tip, mostly cause he doesn't overdo it. He takes the best element of songs and makes the a little dirtier, or a little mo' funkay. here's a mini-pack of what I think is his best work, click to download, hope you dig it.

My New single with the Tito Deville Band . Check it!
Bristol, UK was off the chain! Massive props to the whole PRESS PLAY (link) establishment! Question: if a picture is worth a 1000 words, what does that make this video?
NEWS FLASH: working class DJs are under seige. Unless you are a mega producer or celebrity of some sort., consistently gigging for income is becoming more and more difficult. Dj skills that command a fair wage are unfortunately being superceeded by in-expensive DJs that own a laptop, have lots of friends, and can read billboard charts. This might sound like a rant, but really it's not. Simply put: The 3-way combination of the 'alluring dj image', the simplification of basic dj technology, and the availability of laptops is lowering the relative value of 'djing for most promoters and club owners. Not juniors, promoters, owners, or experienced DJs are to blame for this, it's 'only business' and thats the truth.
All we can do as oldschool DJs is fight back fairly, by flexing some skills, and praying that the public still retains a shred of understading and respect for djing as an artform, and as a technical skill that takes an enormous amout of time and dedication to truly become good at.

Big news on a personal tip, I just locked down a booking in Bristol, UK, for a massive event taking place on May 29th. I've been told they're expecting 1500+ people and the crew that's hosting it is top notch cats. Obviously this is a massive milestone for myself, and hopefully a sign of many things to come. I'll keep the videos and photos flowin while I'm out there, expect madness ;)
I LOVE that being Goofy and Cheezy is cool again. i feel like that hasn't been what's up since the 80s. See how many Cameos you can spot, its like a wear's waldo of the music biz. Buddy in the red is t-pain apparently, ps. hilarious
Greg Wilson's 'Essential Mix'. 2 hours of Classic funk, disco and 'real' electro at its roots, from a british dude thast been djing since the 60s. I stumbled on this thing completely radomely and have been drinking its sweet audio-nectar ever since.
